All Ways Save Ewe Farm & Animal Sanctuary, Inc. (AWSEFAS) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to providing a sanctuary for animals before they are subjected to neglect, abuse, and suffering. By working with a network of volunteer advocates, partner organizations, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, and other animal rescue organizations in the New England area, All Ways Save Ewe Farm & Animal Sanctuary, Inc. can provide a safe sanctuary to save more animals every year from possible neglect, abuse and suffering.
We accomplish our mission by providing a safe, appropriate, and enriching environment; educational and social service programs; along with building relationships and developing community partnerships throughout the New England area. We also serve as a resource for our communities by providing information on animal ownership, including resources for spay/neuter, training, nutrition, and veterinary care. We believe that no animal should be mistreated and are working towards the day when no animal is subjected to neglect, abuse, or suffering.
The sanctuary was unofficially founded in 2018 on 17+ acres in Cranston, RI with a shed and small pasture for three sheep that were rescued from slaughter by the founder’s daughter. Since that time, the founder’s daughter fulfilled her lifelong dream to become a veterinarian. The farm has expanded to add more sheep, goats, chickens, and ducks that were destined for market or euthanasia.
Providing a safe, caring, and enriching home for these animals to thrive and live their best lives has truly been a labor of love. We quickly learned that if you build it, they will come. After being approached by more people in the community to see if we could rehome additional animals, it was decided to officially launch All Ways Save Ewe Farm & Animal Sanctuary, Inc. in 2024 to provide another resource to fill the growing need to rescue animals before neglect, abuse or suffering occurs.
We live our values and provide a forever home for animals to live their best lives. In some cases, we work with our partners to provide an appropriate foster home or a suitable forever home. As we grow our operation, we will expand the sanctuary to include “home-like” facilities for dogs and cats and a wildlife rehabilitation program to help wildlife and return them to their natural environment.
Our founding members consist of a group of passionate animal advocates with numerous years of experience in charitable organizations, administration, veterinary medicine, animal education and research, facilities construction, farm operations and maintenance. In addition to providing a forever home in an environment for the animals to live their best lives, we believe that there is great therapeutic value in animal care and will continue to develop programs that involve school and university internships, community service programs and military veteran volunteers that will share in our profound experience of saving them as much as they save us…All Ways!
